A dialogue between two friends about criticizing the visitor
Nadia: I just don't understand what's happening to our world.
Khalid: Things have really changed. People don't seem to care like before.
Nadia: That young man we saw today, he looked so different.
Khalid: I thought his long hair would be bothersome. It hid his unclean neck though.
Nadia: He's just leeching off others, not working, and only thinking of himself. He seems completely indifferent.
Khalid: Sometimes I worry that our society is falling apart around us.
Nadia: What's frustrating is how these young folks have had it easy. They don't even remember the war!
Khalid: Well, that's the issue. Life has been too simple for them. They haven't faced challenges like we did.
Nadia: And they always blame their parents for everything.
Khalid: Right, I recall meeting a young man in Lahore who said our generation caused all the world's problems.
Nadia: What a silly idea!
Khalid: He even said that us complaining about young people just shows our ignorance. He believed better understanding would lead to better relationships.
Nadia: So unjust. We've done our best after all.
Khalid: True, but we have been in charge for a while. Mistakes were made, of course.
Nadia: But let's not forget the problems we inherited from our parents' generation! Like the first world war – they started it, and it created lasting issues.
Khalid: Indeed, you have a point.
Nadia: And the hypocrisy! Our parents covered things up. They didn't show much understanding. We were more open-minded.
Khalid: Yes, it's interesting. We're talking about our parents' generation just like that young man talked about us. Maybe all parents have always been blamed, no matter where or when.
