A dialogue between two friends about the advantages and disadvantages of village life and city life

Sayed: Good morning, Mahir! I heard you're heading back to your village today. Why not extend your stay in Dhaka city for a few more days?

Mahir: Oh, no, I don't find comfort in Dhaka city. It's just too dull.

Sayed: What aspects of city life don't you like?

Mahir: I believe city life is very artificial. It's all about business and isolation. People lead busy lives in polluted areas. They wake up to the noise of motor vehicles, machines, and factories.

Sayed: You make a valid point. But city life does offer modern amenities. There are excellent educational institutions, hospitals, and recreational places in cities. It's often easier to find work opportunities here.

Mahir: That's true, but I still think village life is far better. It's much more natural, and people lead simple lives. They wake up to the melodious songs of birds and enjoy fresh food like fruits, fish, meat, and vegetables. Villagers are also cooperative and helpful. The environment in the village is pollution-free, with beautiful green fields and meadows.

Sayed: However, village life has its disadvantages too. Diseases, hunger, malnutrition, and poverty are common issues faced by villagers.

Mahir: Indeed, both lifestyles have their pros and cons. Striking a balance in development could bridge the gap between the two.

Sayed: I completely agree with you.

Mahir: Thank you, and you're always welcome to visit our village.

Sayed: Thank you! I hope to visit your house during the next holiday. Goodbye!
