Dialogue about our wage earners
Akib: Hey there, where's the rush?
Badal: My uncle just returned from Qatar, and I'm on my way to meet him.
Akib: That's fantastic news! So, he works there?
Badal: Yes, he does.
Akib: Ah, so your uncle is one of our hardworking wage earners.
Badal: I'm sorry, I'm not following.
Akib: Haven't you heard? A vast number of Bangladeshis go abroad for work, and they send back the money they earn to support their families. It significantly contributes to our economy.
Badal: Really? But how much can they send back?
Akib: A substantial amount. Certain foreign countries like UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, etc., have a high demand for Bangladeshi workers because of their strong work ethic.
Badal: I understand now. So, people like my uncle not only improve their own lives but also boost our country's economy.
Akib: Exactly right.
Badal: Thank you for the enlightening conversation, but I must leave now. I'm running late.
Akib: No problem. Catch you later.
Badal: See you.
