Dialogue Between Two Friends on Bad Effect of Hartal in Life
Zafi: Hi Zarif! How are you doing?
Zarif: I'm not well. How about you?
Zafi: I'm good. What's bothering you? Is something wrong?
Zarif: Yeah, I can't go to college today because of a hartal.
Zafi: Oh, right! On hartal days, not only colleges but also all other offices and businesses stay closed.
Zarif: Yeah, it's really bad. Hartal doesn't help anyone; it just stops regular life for common people.
Zafi: It's harmful indeed. The prices of necessary things go up because there's not enough supply. This makes inflation happen.
Zarif: I understand, it's really bad for us.
Zafi: And that's not all. Sometimes the groups supporting the hartal and the ones against it get into fights.
Zarif: True. Because of these fights, innocent people lose their lives and belongings.
Zafi: Absolutely! Also, during hartals, buses and cars get damaged and set on fire, which makes innocent people suffer a lot.
Zarif: Yeah, I saw a car burning on the road while watching the news on TV.
Zafi: This is a common thing during hartal days in our country. But it's really sad when they throw petrol bombs because it burns people alive on the streets.
Zarif: That's awful and really cruel.
Zafi: Anyway, let's hope that someday these harmful hartals will be stopped in our country. Thanks.
Zarif: I'm looking forward to that day. You're welcome.
