Dialogue Between Two Friends on Visiting Flood Affected Area
Zafi: Hi Zarif! How are you doing?
Zarif: I'm okay. How about you?
Zafi: I'm good. But what's going on? What are you thinking about?
Zarif: I'm thinking about the really sad times that the flood has brought to the people in our area.
Zafi: Oh, I understand now. The overflowing water has caused a lot of sadness. Many villages are underwater.
Zarif: You might have seen that a big piece of land looks like it's covered in water. People had to leave their villages. Thousands don't have a home anymore.
Zafi: Yes, they've been taken to emergency flood centers. But there's not enough help for them. Some have even died.
Zarif: It's really sad. Even the animals are in a terrible condition. They don't have safe places or camps.
Zafi: That's right. I've seen many dead bodies and animal remains floating in the water. And there's another bad thing happening – they're making the water dirty.
Zarif: Exactly! And the smell from all of that is really bad for the environment. Sickness is spreading.
Zafi: Yes, there are more cases of diseases like cholera, diarrhea, typhoid, and flu now. The hospitals don't have enough to help everyone.
Zarif: Exactly, the water has caused a lot of damage. Houses have fallen and people's things have been washed away.
Zafi: And the crops in the fields are ruined. People are facing a very tough time ahead.
Zarif: You're right! I don't even know what they'll do when they can go back home after the flood. It's hard to think about. Let's go to the place where they're giving help and volunteer.
Zafi: Great idea! We can help a bit to make things better for them. Thanks for suggesting that.
Zarif: No problem, happy to suggest it.
