Eve-teasing means when men bother women in public by saying or doing bad things. It's like teasing and bothering girls in a mean way. People use the word "Eve" from a story in the Bible. This kind of teasing is becoming a big problem in our country. Many young people know about it. It's when guys ask rude questions, bother girls, touch them, or block their way. This bad behavior is getting worse.
Eve teasing is a big problem. It's not safe for women in many cities in Bangladesh. Even though our country is growing fast, women who work or go to school still aren't safe. Eve teasing is a big issue in many big cities in Bangladesh.
There are reasons why eve-teasing happens. When boys and girls start to grow up, they become interested in each other. Sometimes boys can't control themselves and they tease girls. Things like TV, the internet, and movies also play a part. Sometimes these things show boys teasing girls and make it seem okay. Computers and phones also make it easy for boys to talk to girls and do bad things. There are some laws against eve-teasing, but they aren't enough and it's hard to make them work. Alcohol and drugs also make people do bad things. When people are drunk or high, they can't think clearly and they might tease girls. People without jobs can also do eve-teasing because they don't have anything else to do.
To stop eve-teasing, we need to teach kids from a young age. Parents have an important role. They should keep their kids away from bad things. Parents should talk to their kids and be nice to them. Teachers should teach kids good values in a modern way. Boys should treat girls with respect. Boys need to remember that they have families too. Girls should stand up against boys who tease them. Women have to fight against eve-teasing.
Eve teasing needs to stop. Women should be treated with respect. Men and women are equal. Our lack of understanding has caused harm. We don't want more harm to happen. Women have the right to live freely and be independent. They should be treated the same as men. Families and society should support them emotionally. The government needs to take this seriously. Both men and women should work together on this issue.
