Victory Day । বিজয় দিবস । Paragraph-Writing
Every country has special days that hold great pride in its history. December 16, 1971, is one such remarkable and important day in our country's history. After a long nine months of fighting with weapons, this day marks the start of a new chapter in our national story. That's why we call it Victory Day. Bangladesh's Victory Day is linked to the story of our nation's difficult fight. It's a day of honor that came to Bangladesh as a result of the sacrifices made by three million brave people. Back in 1969, a powerful leader named Ayub Khan stepped down due to a successful mass protest, and under the pressure of the people's movement, he held a big vote in 1970. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his party won most of the votes in the election, but a plot was set in motion. On the night of March 25, 1971, a Pakistani General named Tikka Khan attacked the innocent people of Dhaka city. Tanks destroyed all the cities. The next day, on March 26, the country declared itself independent, and a challenging nine-month battle began. As a result of the sacrifices of three million martyrs and countless mothers, we gained the freedom we longed for. On December 16, Bangladesh's flag was raised high. Many different kinds of people, like students, farmers, workers, and thinkers, gave up their lives for this freedom. The happiness of victory was mixed with the pain of our losses. Every year, we remember this day with deep respect, pride, and happiness, celebrating it with national honor. Other countries around the world acknowledged Bangladesh's remarkable emergence and we became a respected independent country on the global stage.
