A polybag is a sort of light and thin bag made of plastic. It is normally used for shopping purpose. On an average, 55 Lakh pieces of polythene bags were being used per day in Dhaka city alone. The use and production of polybags damage the balance of our environment. If any food is kept in a polybag for a long time. the chemicals of the bag contaminate the food. By eating this food we may become sick. The used ploythenes which are thrown away into drains or in open places, obstruct drainage system and block regular flow of water. Moreover, due to polythene, many low-lying areas of a city go frequently under water. Polythene is also a potential  threat to our cultivable land. It lessens the fertility of a land. So crops cannot grow well in such lands. It is incapable of being decomposed by a natural way. When polybags are burnt, the toxic fumes of the polythene seriously pollute air However, to get rid of the problem. the Govt. has already banned the production and use of all kinds of polybags. We also should keep ourselves away from using polybags anymore for the sake of a pollution free and beautiful world.
