Composition | A House On Fire
On November 7th, a fire started in a large house located in a busy part of the city. The house had three floors and many rooms, and it was occupied by about six families. The fire began on the second floor and quickly spread throughout the entire building. There were several possible causes suggested for the fire. One person claimed that a piece of cloth near the fireplace had caught fire, which then ignited a nearby pile of wood. The fire, initially small, grew into a big blaze, reaching the roof and spreading to the windows and other parts of the house. Unfortunately, there was a strong wind at the time, which made the situation even worse. The neighboring houses were at risk of catching fire as well.
During this terrifying incident, the people inside the house cried out in distress. Babies screamed, women wailed, and men shouted for help. Some kind neighbors tried their best to control the fire immediately. Thankfully, the fire brigade arrived soon after and managed to extinguish the flames in about an hour and a half.
The building suffered significant damage, with most of it reduced to ashes. However, a few parts of the house escaped complete destruction. The inhabitants of the house also experienced great loss. Their clothes, furniture, and valuable belongings were all burnt to ashes. The total estimated loss amounted to five million rupees. Unfortunately, the building was not insured against fire, so the owner couldn't recover the loss through insurance.
Amidst the chaos of the fire, there was one brave man who showed exceptional courage. Although all the residents managed to escape with difficulty, a thirteen-year-old boy, who was studying in a school, was reported missing. His family became extremely worried when they realized he hadn't been rescued. A gentleman, who worked as a physical education teacher in a school, made a bold decision to save the boy from the flames. His daring act of scaling the burning walls of the house was truly remarkable. He narrowly avoided the fire multiple times, displaying great agility. Eventually, he reached the second floor and heard cries coming from one of the rooms. Inside, he found the distressed boy. The sight of the gentleman filled the boy with hope, and he immediately rushed towards him. The teacher carried the boy on his back and miraculously descended the wall. When they reached the street, everyone felt overjoyed, and the boy's parents expressed their gratitude to the teacher repeatedly.
