Composition | A Journey By Launch I Made
I really enjoy going on all kinds of trips, but there's something extra special about traveling by boat or launch. Recently, during my autumn break, a friend asked me to come to his sister's wedding in Munshigonj. It was a great opportunity for me to take a journey by launch.
There were five of us in the group. On the designated day, we arrived at Ramchandrapur launch ghat at 9 a.m. and boarded the 'Asad Poribohon'. Luckily, we managed to find seats. After a few minutes, the engine started and the launch began to move forward. I looked out of the window and saw many big and small boats sailing up and down the river. Steamers and motor launches were also visible. Fishermen were busy catching fish, and I spotted boys and girls swimming. Women were carrying jars filled with water on their way home. On both sides of the river, there were lush green fields where cattle grazed. As time passed, the scenery changed rapidly. We passed by markets and small towns, and the launch made several stops along the way. At each station, some passengers disembarked while others boarded. We bought boiled eggs, bananas, and magazines from the hawkers. Finally, at 3 p.m., we arrived at Munshigonj station. We stepped off the launch and saw my friend waiting for us. He was very happy to see us.
Even though it was a short journey, it was the most enjoyable one of my life. I had such a great time that the memories of this trip will always remain fresh in my mind.
