Composition | Abducted From School

The other day, our school closed early because of a sports event. I didn't know this, and neither did my taxi driver. He was supposed to pick me up later, but since I had nothing to do at school, I decided to take the bus home instead.

I went to the bus stop outside our school and sat on a bench, waiting for the next bus to come. I hadn't been waiting for long when a car drove by, and the people inside stared at me. A few minutes later, the same car came out of the school gate near the bus stop. It must have entered from a different gate. The car stopped in front of me, and one of the passengers asked if I needed a ride to town. I said yes. One of them got out of the car, opened the door for me, and then got back in. I was now sitting between them. To my surprise and horror, they pushed something hard against my sides as soon as the car started moving. They demanded that I give them my valuable belongings, like my wallet, watch, pen, and gold chain. I had no choice but to hand them over.

They showed me that the things pressing against my sides were guns. They threatened to shoot me if I didn't do as they said. They told me to stay quiet and not ask for help as they drove me through town. Even when the car stopped at a traffic light with two police officers nearby, I was too scared to cry out for help.

Once we left the town, my abductors asked me where I lived and who my father was. When I told them, they seemed pleased. One of them patted my shoulder and said, "You're a good boy! We're lucky to have a miner's son as our guest." It became clear that they planned to ask my father for a ransom. They wanted me to write a letter to him, asking for Rs. 10,000 to be delivered at a specific place and time. At first, I didn't want to cooperate, but they hit me and threatened me until I agreed. They even made me call my father to confirm their demand.

Luckily, as we turned a corner, we came across a police checkpoint. The driver tried to reverse and escape, but the police surrounded the car and ordered us to get out. They wanted to search the car for illegal items. I thought my captors might use me as a hostage, but they didn't put up a fight and we all got out of the car. It turned out their guns were just bamboo sticks. I ran to the nearest policeman and cried out for help. The gangsters panicked and tried to run away, but the police quickly caught them.

When I told the police what had happened, they scolded me for accepting a ride from strangers. They said those people could have killed me or extorted a large amount of money from my parents before releasing me. I want to advise all my friends to never accept rides from strangers.
