Composition | An Eid Festival I Celebrated
Eid is a big festival for Muslims. They have two Eids every year, Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha. These are happy occasions. When I was a child, I enjoyed many festivals, and Eid was one of them. In 2005, it was Eid-ul-Fitr, and it was a fun-filled day. I was so excited the night before that I couldn't sleep. I went outside with my younger sister to look for the new moon. When we found it, we felt really happy.
My mother started cooking delicious dishes from the night before. In the morning, I woke up early and took a bath. I wore my new clothes. My mother served us sweets, shemai, firni, and other tasty foods. After eating, my father, brother, and I got ready to go to the Eidgah. We said our prayers and surrendered ourselves to Allah, the Almighty. I also hugged and greeted my friends and relatives. When we came back from the Eidgah, we visited our neighbors and friends. Everyone welcomed us warmly.
At noon, I returned home, and we all sat together as a family to have lunch. My mother cooked special dishes and served us with a smile on her face. In the evening, I went around in a rickshaw with my father. We went to "Shishu Park" and bought some nice toys. At night, we enjoyed watching different TV shows. Eid not only brought joy but also taught me valuable lessons. It made me feel love and affection for others. It showed me that there should be no differences between people. I will never forget that Eid day. It will always remain fresh in my memory.
