Story | Catch The Shadow And Loose The Substance

Once upon a time, there was a dog who had a piece of meat in his mouth. He came across a small stream and saw his own reflection in the water. Mistakenly thinking it was another dog holding an even bigger piece of meat, he couldn't resist the temptation and dropped his meat into the water. Unfortunately, the current quickly carried it away. The dog then snapped at the reflection, only to realize with great disappointment that it had vanished. He cried out in sadness, "I am such a miserable creature! By chasing after a mere shadow, I have lost my precious meal."
