Composition | Departure Of Your School Teacher

Life is always changing. It moves from one situation to another, from one place to another. We don't stay in one place forever. There are different reasons why we have to change our homes, jobs, habits, and friends. Because of a change in his job, one of our school teachers had to leave. His name is Md. Nurul Amin and he was our class teacher. He has a Master's degree in English literature and he used to be the head of the English Department in our school. He is a good person who always worked hard for the department.

Recently, Mr. Nurul Amin passed the BCS exam and got a government job. Naturally, he had to decide to take the government job. But he wasn't very happy about leaving us.

To appreciate his work, we organized a big farewell meeting on the last Friday of January 2005. The meeting took place in the school auditorium. Important local people, all the teachers, and students were invited. Our principal was in charge of the meeting. We had long and short discussions about the teacher who was leaving. The speakers talked about his sense of responsibility and his academic achievements. Our principal praised his honesty and sincerity. Then a student from class ten went up to the stage and read a well-written goodbye message. The message represented how all the students in the school felt. The student started by calling Mr. Nurul Amin a great and dedicated teacher. Then he talked about how much we were going to miss him.

After that, it was Mr. Nurul Amin's turn to speak. He looked very sad. First, he thanked the principal, the important people at the meeting, and most importantly, the students. He thanked them for their support during his time at the school. Then he spoke directly to the students he had taught. This is when he became quite emotional. He said he loved his students very much and that he would miss them a lot. He also gave them advice on how to study effectively and asked them to always be honest. Mr. Nurul Amin explained why he had to leave the school. He said that he would leave, but he would always remember the students in his heart.

The whole atmosphere of the meeting was calm and quiet. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Nurul Amin's colleagues and students gave him a wreath made of flowers. The meeting ended with a solemn feeling.
