Story | Example Is Better Than Precept

Did you ever see a crab walking on land? It walks in a way that looks like it's leaning to one side. Its body is designed in such a way that it can't walk in a straight line. This is true for all crabs in the world. One day, a mother crab was sitting by a riverbank while her young son played nearby. The mother felt very happy watching him move around. Suddenly, she noticed something strange. Her son walked by tilting his body sideways instead of walking straight. This worried the mother, and she wanted her son to walk in a straight line. "My son, you should walk straight, not sideways," advised the mother crab. The young crab responded, "Show me, dear mother, how to walk straight, and I'll follow your example." The mother crab tried her best to walk straight, but she couldn't do it. She realized her mistake. We should never criticize others without understanding their difficulties.
