Story | Mercy Never Goes Unrewarded

On a very hot summer day, there was a lion who was sleeping soundly in the cool shade of a large tree. There was a little mouse living in a hole nearby. All of a sudden, the mouse came out of its hole and saw the lion sleeping. Without thinking about how strong the lion was, the mouse got a funny idea. It wanted to wake up the lion by running all over its body just for fun. But unfortunately, the lion caught the mouse with its strong paw. The lion was about to kill the mouse when it begged, "Please don't harm me, sir. Someday I might be able to help you." The lion found the mouse's words amusing and let it go with a smile.

A few days later, the lion got caught in a hunter's net right under the same tree. It started roaring loudly in distress. The mouse heard the lion's roar and came out of its hole to see what was happening. It was the perfect chance for the mouse to repay the lion's kindness. So, it started chewing on the ropes of the net and quickly set the lion free. It goes to show that even small things can accomplish big tasks for you. Remember that!
