Composition | My Native Village/ My Countryside

The place where I was born and raised is called Eklashpur. I have a deep love for my hometown. It's a large and old village, about four miles long and three miles wide. It's located three miles away from the Chaumuhani Metropolitan area in Noakhali district. A railway line runs through the village. Around 18,000 people live here, making it a densely populated village in our police station. Most of the people in our village are farmers, while some work as employees or businessmen. People from different communities reside here, but the majority are Muslims, and a few are Hindus.

The transportation system in my village is decent. We have a good road made of a sturdy material that connects to the Begumgonj police station and Noakhali district. However, there are also some rough roads that become muddy during the rainy season. On the eastern side of the village, there is a large canal. We can reach our village by bus, rickshaw, or by walking along the railway line. The houses in the village are mostly made of bamboo, wood, straw, and tin. Only a few buildings, such as schools, community centers, and mosques, are made of bricks. We have a bustling market called Eklashpur Bazar, where we can buy rice, vegetables, and other daily necessities. The market takes place twice a week, on Fridays and Mondays. Unfortunately, the current situation has made it difficult to gather there.

The climate in our village is moderate, which is suitable for good health. As a result, most of the people here are healthy. It's an ideal village with two high schools, several primary schools, and two Madrasahs. We also have a post office that is conveniently located. The natural beauty of our village is enchanting. The surroundings are filled with greenery and vast landscapes, and different types of trees enhance its beauty. The coconut trees, in particular, give a lively feel to the place.

Truly, our village is very beautiful, and the people here have kind hearts. They always lend a helping hand in our work. Those who visit our village never forget the villagers for their supportive assistance. Therefore, we should also do something for the people of our village to show our gratitude.
