Our country is called Bangladesh. It is located in South Asia. It covers an area of 147,570 square kilometers and has a large population. It gained independence from Pakistan on December 16, 1971. The capital city is Dhaka.

The population of Bangladesh is around 160 million, and most of the people are Muslims. There are also Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, and tribal communities living here peacefully. The majority of the people speak Bangla as their first language.

Bangladesh is known for its abundance of rivers. There are many large and deep rivers, such as the Padma, Meghna, and Jamuna, which are home to various types of fish. The land in Bangladesh is fertile, allowing for the cultivation of different crops and fruits.

There are six seasons in Bangladesh, each with its own distinct weather and climate. Depending on the season, different fruits, vegetables, and crops are grown. Our main crops include rice, jute, sugarcane, potato, tobacco, pulses, oils, vegetables, spices, and tea. We also have seasonal fruits like mangoes, jackfruits, guavas, blackberries, pineapples, bananas, coconuts, and watermelons, which are loved by people both at home and abroad.

Bangladesh has many historical sites that add to its beauty and charm. Places like Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, St. Martin Island, and the Sundarbans are particularly worth visiting. Every year, numerous visitors from different parts of the world come to see these historical sites and are captivated by Bangladesh's natural beauty.

Due to its natural resources and beauty, Bangladesh is often called a gift of nature. The country's development is progressing rapidly, and we are proud to call it our home.
