Story | Pride Goes To Fall

Once there was a very rich man who thought highly of his wealth. He treated poor people poorly because of this. One day, while one of his servants was cleaning his bedroom, the servant decided to lie down in the rich man's comfortable bed just to see how it felt. He ended up falling asleep there because it was so cozy. Unfortunately, the rich man walked into his bedroom and saw his servant, who was still wearing his dirty clothes, sleeping in his bed. The rich man woke him up angrily and said, "How dare you, you scoundrel, sleep in my bed!" Then he had the servant beaten up badly and fired him from his job.

As luck would have it, one day a fire broke out in the rich man's shop and burned everything down. Another day, an earthquake destroyed his mansion, killing his wife and sons and leaving him disabled. Now poor and unable to walk properly, he had to beg for money to survive. One day, the servant who had been beaten up by the rich man saw him begging on the street. The servant took him home and respectfully told him, "Sir, you don't need to beg anymore. I will take care of your needs, just as you used to be my master." The rich man felt so ashamed that he couldn't even thank his helper.
