Once upon a time, there was a rabbit and a tortoise who lived in the same jungle, close to each other. Every morning, they both went for a walk along the same path. The rabbit would always make fun of the tortoise for being slow. The tortoise was tired of being insulted all the time.

One day, the tortoise had had enough and decided to challenge the rabbit to a race. When the tortoise proposed the idea, the rabbit laughed and felt confident that he would easily win. He thought the tortoise was foolish for even suggesting a race. However, he accepted the challenge without hesitation, and they agreed on a starting point and a finish line. Everything was set.

The next day, at the agreed time, the race began. The rabbit sprinted off quickly, leaving the tortoise far behind. He looked back and couldn't see the tortoise anywhere. He assumed that the tortoise was so far behind that he wouldn't catch up anytime soon. Feeling tired, the rabbit found a nice shady spot under a tree and decided to take a short rest. Before he knew it, he fell fast asleep.

Meanwhile, the tortoise continued to move forward slowly but steadily. He passed the sleeping rabbit along the way. When the rabbit woke up, he realized he had overslept. He ran as fast as he could, but it was too late. The tortoise had already reached the finish line and won the race. The rabbit felt ashamed and never again made fun of the tortoise.

The moral of the story is that being slow and steady can lead to victory.
