Story | The Day Dreaming Jackal

Once upon a time, there was a man named Tomb who was part of a group that lived in the hills. Tomb's job was to hunt animals using his bow and arrow. He was very good at it and took great pride in his hunting skills.

One day, while Tomb was in the forest, he saw a big, wild boar. He thought to himself, "This boar is no match for me. I'm such a skilled hunter, I'll be able to kill it easily." Tomb prepared his bow, aimed carefully, and shot an arrow right into the boar's back. The arrow caused a deep wound, and the boar was in a lot of pain and anger.

The wounded boar charged at Tomb and stabbed him in the stomach with its sharp fangs. Both Tomb and the boar died because of their injuries.

Shortly after, a jackal named Ghrod came across the scene. When he saw the dead hunter and the boar, he became very happy. He thought, "Wow, today is my lucky day! I have found food that will last me for days. Fate was cruel to them, but it has been kind to me."

Ghrod noticed that the flesh around the arrow's tip on the boar looked soft and delicious. He decided to savor this tasty treat slowly and enjoy it. As Ghrod took a bite, the arrow's point went through the top of his mouth and came out between his eyes. Just like Tomb and the boar, Ghrod also died.

The moral of the story is: Before you do something, think about it carefully.
