Story | The Farmer's Wife And The Crow

Once upon a time, there was a Farmer and his Wife who lived in a little village. The Farmer worked hard on his farm, growing lots of tasty vegetables. His Wife had a job too; she would take the vegetables to the market and sell them to people.

One fine day, the Farmer's Wife went to the market as usual. She sold the vegetables and earned some money. Feeling happy, she decided to buy some eggs with the money she had earned. She carefully placed the eggs in a basket and put it on her lap while she sat on her horse to go back home.

The Farmer's Wife was so excited about the profit she had made that day. She started daydreaming about all the things she could buy with the money. As she rode on the horse, she wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings.

Suddenly, disaster struck! The basket slipped from her lap, and all the eggs fell out and broke on the ground. The Farmer's Wife was devastated and very upset. She quickly looked for someone to blame and saw a Crow sitting on a tree branch, making a lot of noise.

She shouted angrily at the Crow, saying, "You foolish bird! Your loud screeching startled me, and that's why I dropped the eggs. It's all your fault!" The Crow, however, calmly replied, "Madam, it's not my fault. You were not being careful while riding, and you were lost in your thoughts. You should take responsibility for your own mistake."

The Farmer's Wife felt ashamed of her behavior. She realized that she had made a mistake by not paying attention. She understood that blaming others for her own faults was not fair. So, she apologized to the Crow for wrongly accusing it.

The moral of the story is that we should not blame others for our own mistakes. It's important to take responsibility for our actions and learn from our errors instead of looking for someone else to fault.
