Story | The Greedy Dog

Once there was a really greedy dog who went to a butcher's shop. While he was there, he took a piece of meat and ran away. Before long, he came to a bridge that went over a stream of water. While he was walking across the bridge, he suddenly looked down at the stream. The dog saw his own reflection in the clear water. He thought that there was another dog in the water, and that dog had a piece of meat in its mouth too. The greedy dog wanted to have that other piece of meat as well. So, he barked really loudly to try and scare the other dog away. But as soon as he opened his mouth to bark, his own piece of meat fell out and into the stream. And just like that, the greedy dog lost his food.

The moral of the story is: "Being too greedy is a curse."
