Story | The Wolf And The Crane

One day a wolf had a bone stuck in his throat. So he felt much pain. He requested everyone he met to take out the bone. He offered each a big prize for the task. But they did not help him because they were afraid of the wolf. At last he saw a crane and ran to him. He told everything. The crane was greedy but simple. He decided to help the wolf. The wolf pulled the bone out of his throat by putting its long beak into the wolf's mouth. The wolf felt relieved and was about to go. Then the crane wanted his prize. The wolf growled. He said that the crane should be thankful to him because he had got his neck out safe from his throat. Then the ungrateful wolf went away.
