Story | Wickedness Brings In Ruin
Once upon a time, there was a wolf who was searching for food in a forest. He came across a village that was situated near the edge of the forest. In the village, there was a field where a group of sheep was peacefully grazing.
While the wolf was thinking about how to catch one of the sheep, he stumbled upon a sheep-skin lying on the path. The sheep-skin belonged to a sheep that had been attacked and killed by a dangerous animal a few days ago.
When the wolf saw the sheep-skin, a cunning idea came to his mind. He decided to wear the sheep-skin and blend in with the flock of sheep. He believed that this would be an easy way for him to catch one of them.
As soon as the wolf entered the flock, the shepherd noticed him and directed the wolf towards the village. When they reached the village, the shepherd put the wolf in a pen and quickly locked the door. Just then, his wife arrived and said, "I have nothing to cook for dinner. Please kill one of the sheep for me."
The shepherd went into the pen, searching for a plump sheep. Mistakenly, he thought the disguised wolf was a fat sheep and used his axe to kill him. This shows that wickedness often leads to its own punishment.
