Composition | The Annual Sports Day Of Our School

Every year, schools have a special day called the annual sports day. In our school, we had our last annual sports day on December 20th. We really enjoyed this day of sports and games.

We had been preparing for the sports day for several days. Our school campus looked beautiful with decorations. We set up a stage in front of the school building for our special guest. The entire playground was adorned with colorful papers, flowers, and banners. We even created a gate to warmly welcome our chief guest.

We invited the deputy commissioner to be our chief guest. He arrived at 9 a.m., and our program started at 10 a.m. sharp. The chief guest raised the national flag and officially opened the ceremony. Then, the sports events began. Around 250 students participated in these events.

The main events included high jump, long jump, 100-meter sprint, 200-meter sprint, and even a fun cockfight. Some students also took part in a fancy dress competition.

We hired a band to play music during the sports events. This added a lot of fun and excitement to the day.

Finally, at the end of the sports day, we had a prize-giving ceremony. The chief guest handed out prizes to the winners. In his speech, he also shared some valuable advice with us. The headmaster thanked everyone for attending the ceremony, and then the function came to an end.
