Paragraph A Railway Station : Short Composition A Railway Station

A train station is a really important place for trains. Trains stop and start their journeys from here. People get on and off the train at a train station. The buildings at train stations are often made of red bricks and you can spot them from far away because of their red and green signals. Inside the station, there are different rooms where people can do different things. There are rooms where people wait, rooms where they buy tickets, a place where things can be booked to be moved on the train, a room for the person in charge of the station (called the station master), places to get tea, and other stores.

At the train station, you can also find people selling things and others who help passengers carry their things. There are usually two or more train tracks at each station. Close to the station, there are posts with signals that are either red or green. A person who's called the point's man takes care of these signals. They also walk along the platform holding red and green flags. Outside the station, you can see spots where rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, and other vehicles wait.

Before the train comes, passengers stand in a line to get their tickets checked. When the train arrives, the station becomes really busy and loud. Some people get on the train, and some get off. After the train leaves, the station becomes quiet again. Sometimes it looks empty, like there's nobody there.
