Composition Our National Festivals
Bangladesh loves festivals. We have many national festivals, and it's said we have thirteen in twelve months.
There are different kinds of national festivals in our country. Some are religious, some are secular, and some are about history. We celebrate these festivals with a lot of happiness.
Eid-ul-fitr is the most important religious festival for Muslims. It happens after the fasting month of Ramadan. On this day, they pray and give to the poor. People hug each other to show their friendship and care.
Another important Muslim festival is Eid-ul-Azha. After the prayers, people sacrifice animals and share the meat with neighbors, relatives, and the poor. It's a very happy and special religious festival.
Hindus also have many religious festivals which they celebrate with great joy and grandeur. Some of them are Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Laxmi Puja, and Kali Puzz. They invite people from all communities to join in their happiness.
Christians celebrate Christmas Day with a lot of religious passion. Buddhists enjoy Buddha Purnima with happiness and devotion. The tribal people have their own festivals, and they celebrate them in a grand way.
During national festivals, various organizations arrange different programs. Radio and television broadcast special shows to make people happier. There are colorful processions and rallies organized by different groups.
Bangladesh is a country where people love festivals. Throughout the year, we celebrate various national festivals, and these festivals bring us joy and energy.
