Composition Rainy Season/The Rainy Season of Bangladesh
Bangladesh has six seasons. One of them is the rainy season. It happens in the months of Ashar and Sraban, but sometimes it goes from June to September.
During the rainy season, the sky is often cloudy, and strong winds blow from the Bay of Bengal carrying black clouds, which cause heavy rain. Sometimes the rain continues for many days. Places like tanks and pools that dry up in winter and summer get filled up again. Roads are covered with mud, and in many villages, people have to use boats to get around. Everyone needs an umbrella when they go out. Students can't go to school because of too much rain, and people can't work outside. Day laborers suffer because they can't find work. Fields and roads get flooded, but farmers use this time to cultivate their lands and sow paddy seeds. Villagers also go to the market to buy hilsha fish.
The rainy season is a blessing in many ways. Water currents bring silt that makes the land fertile. It helps crops like jute and paddy to grow well. The flowing water also cleans away dirt and increases the food supply. The air becomes fresh and pure, giving us comfort and relieving the intense summer heat. Trees start growing with the help of rainwater.
Despite its advantages, the rainy season also has some problems. Sometimes, the rain continues for too long, causing suffering for people. Excessive rainfall can lead to floods, destroying homes and crops. Moreover, diseases like malaria, diarrhea, and dysentery often spread during this season.
In the end, the rainy season has both good and bad sides. It's crucial for our country, as our agriculture relies on rain. So, if we get enough rain during this season, our farmers feel very happy.
