The Historic Speech of 7th March Paragraph
We remember important days in our country's history. March 7th is one of those special days that make our history great. In 1971, something significant happened on this day. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave a really important speech that helped Bangladesh become independent.
On March 7th, 1971, in Dhaka, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman talked to a huge crowd of over two million people at the Ramna Race Course. He spoke to the people of our country. This was a time when there was a lot of tension between East Pakistan and the powerful leaders in West Pakistan. In his speech, Bangabandhu said, "We are fighting for our freedom. We are fighting for our independence." He asked everyone to not follow the rules and to make their homes strong like castles.
His speech made Bengali people ready for a war to become free. His words were like saying that Bangladesh was its own country now. The speech also talks about how countries that become free after being ruled by other countries sometimes don't treat all their people fairly. This can make people from different groups feel left out because of their ethnicity, culture, language, or religion.
Bangabandhu didn't read from a paper, he just talked from his heart. In 2017, UNESCO, a group that keeps important things safe, added his speech to their special list called the "Memory of the World Register." This is because they think his speech is really important for the world to remember.
