Positive short stories for kids-The power of prayer

Once upon a time, there was a family of parrot birds living in a tree. The mom bird laid a lot of eggs, and all of them hatched into pretty baby parrot chicks. One of these chicks had a disability, which means it couldn't do things like the others. The mom and dad birds loved this chick a lot and took turns feeding it.

One day, there was a huge fire in the forest. It was spreading really fast and scaring all the animals and birds away. The dad bird told the chicks, "Kids, fly to a safe place now!" The mom bird was sad and said, "But what about our poor chick that can't fly or walk? How can we leave it behind?" The parents decided to stay with the chick and not leave it alone.

The disabled chick started praying really hard, saying, "Oh, please, make the forest fire stop and save everyone – the animals, birds, and trees. See how much my mom and dad love me and stay with me. You made the world, so can't you care like they do?"

And guess what? Suddenly, there was rain pouring down, and it put out the forest fire.

So, the lesson is: When you pray sincerely and with all your heart, good things can happen.
