Celebration of Independence Day / I celebrated Independence Day | Paragraph

I had a special day last year when I marked Independence Day at my school. Bangladesh is a free country. Every year on March 26th, we celebrate our Independence Day because on this day in 1971, we became independent. The fight for freedom began on March 26th, 1971. During the night of March 25, 1971, the Pakistani army attacked innocent people and caused harm. On the night of March 26th, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was taken by the Pakistani army after he declared Bangladesh's independence. It was a day off from school. I went to school early in the morning. We had many cultural activities at school that day. The school buildings looked nice with decorations. Our national flag was raised on top of the school buildings. We had a big discussion and many cultural events in our hall. Students and people from all walks of life joined these activities with a lot of excitement. I learned many important things. For example, this day is very significant for Bangladesh. We honor this day with much respect. It brings hope and ambition. We put flowers at the victory monument. Government offices and buildings are nicely decorated on this day. Independence Day is a big accomplishment for us. So, it's a day of great pride for our nation.
