Eid-ul-Azha | Paragraph

Eid-ul-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha is a big celebration for Muslims. It's about sacrificing. Long ago, a prophet named Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice his son Ishmael to obey Allah. But Allah was happy with Ibrahim's strong belief, so He gave a lamb instead of his son. That special sacrifice by Ibrahim is now celebrated as Eid-ul-Adha. It comes after two months from Eid-ul-Fitre.

On this day, people go to a special place to pray. Then they give up their favorite animals for Allah. They do this by killing the animal and sharing the meat in three parts - for family, relatives and friends, and for poor people. This helps make Allah happy and ensures that every Muslim can eat meat.

In the Islamic calendar, Eid-ul-Adha happens on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijah.
