A bus conductor is someone who helps people on buses. We usually see a bus conductor two or three times a day. They are found wherever buses go.

A bus conductor has a certain look. Their clothes are always old and worn-out. They carry a bag made of leather on their left shoulder. Even though they are just regular people, they play an important role in society. They interact with everyone, so they are known by all.

A bus conductor has a lot of power on the bus. They pull a lever to make the bus stop, and they ring a bell twice to make it start. They have complete control over the passengers. It's amazing to see how they handle so many passengers with authority. If the bus is not full, they make it wait.

In Dhaka, bus conductors are generally not polite. They can be very rude and rough with the people on the bus. They push and pull passengers to make room for more people. Sometimes, the bus becomes so crowded that it's hard to breathe. No one dares to challenge the conductor.

Despite their personal flaws, bus conductors are hardworking. They always seem busy. At each bus stop, they loudly announce the entire route of the bus. Issuing tickets to so many passengers is a tough job. They quickly count the change and give the right ticket to each passenger. They work very hard, and their working hours are often long. Bus conductors don't earn a lot of money, but they make extra money through commissions from their employer and sometimes by unfair means.

We should appreciate the services of bus conductors. They are treated as outsiders. People often criticize bus conductors for being rude and rough. But our country doesn't have a system to regulate social behavior.
