Composition | A Journey By Boat
I really like going on trips. But I always prefer going on a boat rather than a train or a bus. Boat trips are fascinating and thrilling. They are more enjoyable than any other kind of trip. A few days ago, I went on a boat journey. It made me extremely happy and entertained.
It was July, during the rainy season. My older brother suggested that we visit Heritage Park in Ashulia. I knew we could go there by boat, so I convinced him to choose that option. My whole family agreed with my idea. On the chosen day, we went to Sadarghat and rented a boat. The boat we got was nice but not very big. There was one person steering the boat and two rowers. We started around 10 a.m.
The boatman started the journey by shouting "Badar, Badar." The boat crossed the Buriganga River to enter the Torag River. The riverbank with tall buildings, boats, and people bathing in the river was a beautiful sight. The boat was going against the current. The riverbanks looked green with fields of rice. The view was very pleasing. Many boats carrying passengers or goods were sailing up and down. Around 1 p.m., we stopped at a market to have our lunch.
After about thirty minutes, we resumed our journey. The wind was blowing strongly by then. Dark clouds gathered in one part of the sky, and we were quite worried about it. My younger sister started crying, but my mother tried to calm her down. The boatman also reassured us. Then we set sail. The boat started moving quickly through the water. We crossed the river before the storm arrived. After a journey of about six hours, we reached our destination.
The boat journey I took a few days ago was truly interesting and exciting. I enjoyed it a lot. It gave me so much joy that I remember it every moment, even in my dreams.
