Composition | An Exciting Incident In My Life
Everyone has some experiences that stay with them forever. Some are happy, while others are sad. One memorable incident in my life was when I visited the famous Shat Gambuj Masjid in Bagerhat, Khulna.
Since I was a child, I had heard a lot about the Shat Gambuj Masjid from my family. They said it was an important part of our culture. I had always wanted to see it myself. Finally, during the last winter break, my uncle, who lives in Bagerhat, invited my family to spend a few days with him.
Bagerhat was founded by a saint named Khan Jahan Ali, who came from Baghdad to spread Islam. He not only preached Islam but also built many mosques, streets, and public buildings in the city. The beautiful multi-domed mosque, known as Shat Gambuj Masjid, is one of the main works of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali. This mosque is incredibly magnificent and attracts tourists from all over the world. I was fascinated by its exterior, and my curiosity grew to explore the mosque in detail, like someone captivated by unrivaled beauty.
I also visited the Mazar of Khan Jahan Ali, which stands on a raised platform. The tomb is made of intricately carved stones, and it's unknown where these artistic stones came from. The dome of the Mazar has inscriptions in Arabic, and one of them mentions that Khan Jahan Ali passed away on October 25, 1459.
In front of the Mazar, there is a large freshwater tank where some crocodiles reside. It's interesting to see them come closer when the caretaker calls them.
My visit to Bagerhat was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. It broadened my horizons and left a deep impression on my mind. I will always cherish the sweet memories of this incident in my heart.
