Composition | The Victory Day I Celebrated

December 16th holds a special place in Bangladesh's history. On this day, we achieved victory after a violent battle lasting nine months. Bangladesh emerged as an independent nation and secured its position on the world map.

Last Victory Day, we commemorated this event with great solemnity. The day began with gunfire, and the entire country transformed into a joyful atmosphere. Every house and office proudly displayed the national flag. Numerous meetings, seminars, symposiums, and discussions were held. People from all walks of life visited the national mausoleum to offer flowers as a symbol of deep respect and sincere love for the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

Our school also celebrated Victory Day in a splendid manner, following the nationwide spirit. Our teachers warmly assisted us in organizing the event. On December 15th, we tastefully decorated the school buildings. Sufficient seating arrangements were made for teachers and students. With the guidance of our physical instructor and other teachers, we prepared for the activities. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the national flag. Soon after, there was a march past, and our school principal saluted the participants. We then sang the national anthem and arranged a discussion and cultural functions. Both teachers and students actively participated in the discussions.

Indeed, Victory Day is a source of pride and honor for the Bangalee people. It signifies triumph over injustice, tyranny, oppression, and falsehood. The significance of this memorable day goes beyond mere celebration. We should wholeheartedly uphold the honor of this day.
